Paid internships are available in Peter's Burlington and Washington offices. Internships are offered during the summer and throughout the fall and spring semesters. They are for college students and recent graduates only.

Interns' responsibilities will vary. They will be asked to answer phones, run errands, research legislation for Congressman Welch and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings, and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a Congressional office and gain valuable work experience.

To apply for an internship, please complete the application form below and submit it with the following:

  • cover letter
  • résumé
  • college transcript
  • two letters of recommendation
