Burlington, VT -- Rep. Peter Welch has asked Chairman Henry Waxman to open an investigation into reports of "appalling and unacceptable reports" of outpatient care for our veterans at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in The Washington Post.
The measure passed with bipartisan support, 246 to 182, after a 36-hour, week-long debate.
Welch was an original co-sponsor of the bill.
The bill expands tax provisions to help small businesses invest in new equipment and promotes hiring of disadvantaged workers.
