U.S. Senators Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and U.S. Representative Peter Welch (D-Vt.) Tuesday announced that St. Albans has been awarded a $125,000 federal grant for its ongoing streetscapes project.
The grant, awarded by the Department of Transportation, will fund continued downtown improvements.

Rep. Peter Welch on Wednesday will continue his statewide Main Street Jobs Tour in Newport, highlighting legislation for which he is fighting to support Vermont's downtown businesses. This will be the fifth stop in Welch's Main Street Jobs Tour. His previous visits were in St. Albans, Brattleboro, Vergennes, and Rutland.
