The Vermont Student Assistance Corp. (VSAC) will receive up to $1.3 million in additional funds to continue helping students find grants, loans and scholarships, the Vermont congressional delegation announced today.

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Peter Welch issued the following statement Thursday after the House passed the Fiscal Year 2011 Continuing Resolution (H.R. 1473) by a vote of 260 to 167. The funding bill is the result of a compromise reached late last week between President Obama and Congressional leaders. Welch opposed the measure.
