Congressional App Challenge

The Congressional App Challenge is an annual Congressional Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Academic Competition designed to engage students’ creativity and encourage their participation in STEM education fields. The competition was established by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2013, and the pilot competition ran in 2014. Congressman Welch is excited to announce that his office is participating in the 2021 Congressional App Challenge!

Criteria

  • This challenge is open to middle and high school students
  • Students must either attend school or reside in Vermont
  • To register please go to: CongressionalAppChallenge.us
  •  Students must submit their app or game by November 1, 2021  

Important Dates

  • April 1 – Student pre-registration opens
  • June 1 – Challenge officially launches
  • November 1 - Deadline for submissions
  • November – Judging period
  • December – Winners announced!

Winner Details

The winner will be announced beginning of December. Judging period will take place in November.
